Lucky for you, lots of family centres and attractions in Ireland don’t focus on one thing, they are usually a combination of so many different activities. You’ll be spoiled for choice.So you can finally let out a breath of relief! :)

 

Go swimming, try a family cycling tour or get out on the water in a kayak. Explore a museum or try a pottery making session if it rains – there is lots to enjoy!

The National Aquatic Centre

Located near Blanchardstown, Co. Dublin. This waterpark is one of the most innovative in Europe. Some features include the dark hole, a surfing system, a wave pool, a pirate ship, a lazy river and more. It is indoors so don’t worry about the weather. A family ticket including 2 adults and 2 children costs €46.

Tayto Park

Located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. This theme park / zoo is owned by the Irish crisp brand Tayto. You can buy an all-day wristband for €15. It is home to Europe’s largest wooden roller-coaster. Well worth a visit. It is full of rides, slides and games for all the family.

Fota Wildlife Park

Located in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. It is a beautiful non-profit organisation / park with the aim to conserve the fragile wildlife. It is host to cheetahs, giraffes & many more animals, playgrounds and cafes. It is also an award winning education complex. You can get really up-close to the animals 2 adults and 3 children will cost €52.

Dublin Zoo

Located near Phoenix Park, Co. Dublin. Ireland’s largest and one of the world’s oldest zoos. Host to a number of endangered animals and 400 others, it is a great place for learning & it. A family ticket of 2 adults and 3 children costs €51.50.

Kildare Maze Activity Park

Located in Naas, Co. Kildare. There is lots to do including crazy-golf, a picnic area, adventure trails, zip-lines, assault course and of course conquer the hedge and wooden maze. For the younger children there are multiple play areas and sand pits. It has something for all age groups. A family pass including 2 adults and 3 children costs €29.

The Dingle Dolphin

Located in Dingle, Co. Kerry. Fungie the dolphin is very fond of the Dingle coastline, you could call him a local. There is no guarantee that he is there every day. Even if he doesn’t show, or stay for long, you’ll still get a great boat tour. The tickets are €16 for adults and €8 for children.

The Carlingford Adventure Centre

Located in Carlingford, Co. Louth. This centre provides a very active day with activities including archery, rock-climbing, kayaking, wind-surfing, high-rope courses, zorbing, golf, abseiling and much more. It is definitely for the active family.

Puddenhill Indoor & Outdoor Activity Centre

Located in Puddenhill, Co. Meath. You’ll find a variety of fun activities here including karting, paintball, laser tag, laser clay pigeon shooting and a laser maze which you can complete within minutes – but don’t hit the lasers or you’ll lose points. Great fun for adults and children alike. Tickets start from €5 but vary depending on activity.
